Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and organised HR Officer to join our team on a part-time basis at our Melbourne office.

This role will support the day-to-day human resources and administrative functions of the business, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee records management, training administration, and HR compliance activities. The successful candidate will work closely with management and employees across all AFH branches to support a professional, efficient, and positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with recruitment activities, including job advertisements, interview coordination, onboarding, and induction processes.
* Maintain employee records, HR databases, training registers, and personnel files.
* Support payroll and leave administration processes in coordination with Finance.
* Assist with preparing employment contracts, letters, policies, and HR-related documentation.
* Coordinate training and compliance activities across the business.
* Provide administrative support for performance management and employee relations matters.
* Assist with general office administration and branch support activities as required.
* Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company policies and relevant employment legislation.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within HR systems and processes.

Qualifications & Experience

* Previous experience in Human Resources, Administration, or a similar support role.
* Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive information.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Experience with HR/payroll systems is advantageous.
* Must have the right to work in Australia.
