Overview The Executive Manager, Transport Sector Advocacy & Policy role supports the development of Team Super's advocacy strategies, policy positions and stakeholder engagement across government, transport union, employer associations and representatives to support and influence policy, regulatory outcomes and monitor Industrial Relations insights that strengthen and protect our members' interests. The role brings strong industrial relations capability, acknowledging the close connection between workplace relations, industry conditions and the positive impact to retirement outcomes for our members. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, the role contributes to the Fund's reputation as a trusted and credible voice for the communities it serves.ResponsibilitiesLead and deliver advocacy strategies that promote strong financial and retirement outcomes for our members.Monitor legislative, regulatory and workforce development across the transport sector.Support the development of policy positions, submissions and briefing materials.Conduct research and translate complex policy issues into clear, actionable insights.Contribute to government and regulatory engagement strategies, including consultations and stakeholder meetings.Prepare executive and board‐level briefings and policy updates.Partner with internal teams to align policy with strategic priorities.Provide trusted policy advice to senior stakeholders, including the Executive Team and Board.Build and maintain effective relationships with government, unions, employer groups and stakeholders.Represent the Fund in industry forums, working groups and consultations.Provide expert insight on industrial relations and workplace trends impacting members.Contribute to thought leadership through policy reports, insights and public commentary.Qualifications MandatoryTertiary qualifications in either public policy, economics, law, politics, industrial relations, finance, business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.Postgraduate qualifications in public policy, economics, law, industrial relations or a related discipline.Skills & ExperienceExtensive experience in advocacy, public policy and superannuation.Deep expertise in industrial and workplace relations.Proven track record influencing government, regulatory or policy outcomes.Strong understanding of Australia's superannuation system.Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to translate complex policy into clear strategic insights.Exceptional written communication skills including policy submissions and briefing papers to internal Executive and Board members.Influential stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build credibility at senior and executive levels.Experience working across government, unions, employer associations or industry bodies.If this sounds like you, please click the Apply button.
