About the Role
We are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life‐changing therapy to NDIS participants. If you are here last week, you may have:
* Worked in diverse settings such as homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
* Used assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
* Built meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
* Developed and implemented Behaviour Support Plans with function‐based strategies using a positive behaviour support framework
* Conducted Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
* Collaborated within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
* Attended weekly team meetings in the Hub
* Tapped into the knowledge and support of the Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor
Qualifications
Required:
* Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters or Graduate Diploma) and registration:
o Occupational Therapist – degree and AHPRA registration
o Speech Pathologist – degree and SPA registration
o Social Worker – degree and AASW membership
o Mental Health Nurse – degree and AHPRA registration
o Psychology or related field – degree
* Be deemed a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (letter evidence required)
* Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
* Positive and flexible approach to work
* Strong communication skills and teamwork
* Commitment to personal and professional growth
* Valid Australian driver's licence
* NDIS Workers Screening Check
* Working with Children Check
