Sous Chef
Location: Kew, Melbourne
Salary: $75,000 + 12% superannuation.
Responsibilities
* Assist and oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all innovative and mouth-watering culinary offerings.
* Manage bulk cooking production alongside occasional function and banqueting requirements.
* Actively maintain awareness and desire for nutrition and healthy eating.
* Ensure accurate implementation of allergy awareness controls.
* Pursue and fulfill great ideas and seek opportunities for improvement.
* Ensure safe production of a high-quality product without compromising food safety guidelines.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar capacity in cafes, restaurants, hotels, schools, and function environments.
* Strong emphasis on modern, well-being inspired menus with a focus on visual presentation.
* Ability to switch from cafe-style flair to fine-dining and function standard food.
* Capacity to maintain a calm and respectful demeanor at all times.
