We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ICT Infrastructure Engineer to lead complex ICT operations and project activities. This role serves as a technical escalation point for ICT operations and is responsible for maintaining high availability, performance, and security across enterprise infrastructure.
Your new role
* Resolve Level 3+ incidents and collaborate with vendors and service providers
* Design and implement complex ICT solutions and approved requests
* Monitor, configure, and tune systems for optimal performance, availability, and disaster recovery
* Manage identity and access, implement security protocols, and ensure compliance with PSPF, ISM, and Essential 8 Maturity Level 2
* Report and assist in security incident investigations
* Identify and implement automation and process improvements
* Integrate approved software and emerging technologies
* Provide technical support to project and change management teams
* Produce and review architectural documents and detailed designs
* Participate in governance and maintain operational documentation
* Mentor team members and support knowledge transfer
What you'll need to succeed
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Hands-on experience with:
o Microsoft and cloud-based infrastructure (Active Directory, Windows Server, Azure IaaS/PaaS, M365)
o Backup and restore tools (please specify)
o LAN/WAN/WLAN management in enterprise or government environments (please specify vendors/devices)
o Linux server administration (minimum 2 years)
o Network monitoring tools (please specify)
o Asset management tools (please specify)
o InTune, application packaging, and automated deployment
o ServiceNow (minimum 6 months)
* Expert-level Microsoft certification (please specify)
* Network or IT security certifications (please specify)
* Deep familiarity with Azure Resource Manager
* Degree or formal IT qualification
* Additional certifications (e.g., ITIL, project management)
* ServiceNow configuration experience
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills
* Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold a minimum NV1 security clearance. Candidates without the required clearance will not be considered.
* Location: You can be based in either Canberra, ACT or Melbourne, VIC but must be able to attend the local office.
