About the role
Pay Details: Grade 1 £12.65 ph. Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Monday to Friday.
Term time 10 hrs/week x 2 & 38 weeks. Recess 10hrs/week x 2 (3 weeks). Main Place of Work: St Helen's RC Primary.
Description: To assist in providing an effective cleaning service to building cleaning clients. To cover other cleaners during periods of holidays, sickness, staff shortages and other absences.
To occasionally assist the chargehand /Site Supervisor with the training of cleaning staff.
To undertake all aspects of cleaning tasks such as: carpet cleaning and steam cleaning, all site specification cleaning, builders cleans, recess cleaning and other cleaning not normally stated in the site specification.
About you
You will need:
* Previous experience of working within the cleaning industry or a cleaning related discipline/environment.
* Basic understanding of the various cleaning tasks required to provide an efficient and effective premises Cleaning Service.
* Good verbal communication skills and the ability to converse with members of the public and client officers.
* Be physically able to carry out manual and active labouring duties.
* Must be able to work on own initiative and undertake duties in an effective manner.
* Positive and self-motivated with the ability to be flexible and responsive to changes in priorities and demands.
* Be prepared to work irregular hours.
* Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate.
