The key duties of the position include
This position sits within the Digital Investment and Sourcing Division and is part of the Digital Sourcing Branch.
The DTA's Digital Sourcing Branch is responsible for providing value-for-money procurement pathways for government agencies to buy digital and ICT products and services.
The branch manages a number of whole-of-government panels (covering hardware, software, cloud, telecommunications, data centres, labour hire and professional services) and whole-of-government contracts (including contracts with AWS, Microsoft, IBM, Oracle and SAP).
Key duties
* Lead, manage and develop a team to support and deliver the whole-of-government Microsoft arrangement, including providing a single point of contact for advice and guidance.
* Manage the whole-of-government Microsoft agreement including ensuring vendor compliance with Commonwealth policies and legislation, monitoring performance and supporting contract negotiations.
* Design and implement new approaches and engagement strategies to enable effective and efficient use of the Microsoft whole-of-government arrangement.
* Support contract negotiations as a subject matter expert to represent the interests and requirements of agencies and providing evidence based advice and insights on contract issues and opportunities.
* Oversee and support the DTA's mission to modernise digital sourcing and enable businesses to participate in government procurement.
