About the position:
The diverse role of Sport and Leisure Attendant is responsible for facilitating safe and enjoyable aquatic experiences for all facility users. Sport and Leisure Attendant's assist with operational activities such as pool supervision, customer service, and the delivery of aquatic programs and services to the community. A Sport and Leisure Attendant can work across the roles of Lifeguard, Swim Teacher and Customer Service Officer.
The Sport & Leisure branch currently has two vacant positions available for permanent parttime appointment. These positions work an average of 22.8 hours a week across a three-week roster inclusive of one weekend.
Key accountabilities:
* Undertake supervision, rescues, and emergency care procedures in accordance with the Aquarena policies, RLSSWA guidelines for Safe Pool Operation, industry standards and practices.
* Coordinate the setup and removal of equipment and pool space, as well as cleaning, when required for bookings, recreation programs and events.
* Perform reception and administrative duties and attend to customer feedback, ensuring a high level of customer service is provided at all times.
* Assist with, or supervise, the delivery of aquatic and recreational programs to patrons inline with current qualifications.

Position requirements:
We are seeking candidates with experience working in aquatic environments. Applicants should demonstrate a strong understanding of aquatic supervision requirements and possess developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
The Sport & Leisure Attendant position has a salary starting from $68,472 per annum pro rata or $34.65 per hour, offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
