Reomart and Metroll are leading Australian steel manufacturers and suppliers, specialising in reinforcing steel solutions and roll‐formed products that support major infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects nationwide.
This role brings together both businesses in Western Australia, offering a unique dual‐site opportunity across Reomart WA and Metroll WA. As part of a national group investment in advanced steel processing technology, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to help deliver and embed these capabilities on the ground.
About the role
This is a hands‐on engineering role working closely with production and operations teams across both sites.
You will take ownership of capital projects and process improvement initiatives, driving measurable gains in efficiency, quality, and output. The role spans end‐to‐end project delivery as well as optimisation of existing plant and equipment.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver capital equipment and engineering projects aligned to business priorities.
* Analyse production processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
* Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
* Plan and execute plant upgrades and engineering projects in collaboration with operations.
* Troubleshoot process and equipment issues with production teams to minimise downtime.
* Monitor and analyse performance data to support informed decision making.
* Support maintenance and reliability improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
* Drive Lean initiatives including 5S, waste reduction, and process standardisation.
About you
* Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
* Trade background (mechanical or electrical) highly regarded.
* Experience in manufacturing, steel, rebar, roll forming or heavy industrial environments.
* Hands‐on, practical approach with strong problem‐solving capability.
* Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with operations teams.
* Experience in project engineering or project management highly regarded.
