THE ROLE
Rockhampton Girls Grammar School is looking for a Term Time Cleaner working 13.5 hours per week over 3 days.
* Tuesday, Wednesdays & Thursdays
* 4:00 pm – 8:30 pm (Term Time)
* Term time position with options to work in the school holidays
* Uniforms provided
* Training provided
This position will commence training in November 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cleaner's core responsibility, under the direction of the Cleaning Manager and the Facilities and Services Manager, is to:
* ensure a clean, hygienic and safe environment for staff and students, including areas such as the classrooms, dormitories, laboratories, offices, and communal areas such as stairs, corridors and landings;
* ensure that high standards of cleanliness are delivered at all times;
* attend training and professional development as directed by the School;
* ensure adherence to workplace health and safety procedures and policies related to the safe use of cleaning chemicals and monitor and report on the safety of equipment to the Facilitates and Services Manager or other authorised personnel, when required; and
* be aware of the emergency/fire procedures and be responsible for designated duties in the event of an emergency.
OTHER DUTIES
* Attend Professional Development as required.
* Promote the interests of Rockhampton Girls Grammar School.
* Serve the School diligently and faithfully.
* Any other duties as may reasonably be directed by the Cleaning Manager and/or Facilities and Services Manager.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or have the ability to obtain one.
