Job Overview:
The role of a Microwave System Specialist involves overseeing vendor engagements, reviewing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards, and providing technical assurance for microwave systems.
* Represent the organization at vendor and site engagements, including Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and commissioning.
* Review and approve vendor documentation, including designs, test plans, and implementation strategies.
* Follow Change Management processes, including Configuration Audit Board submissions.
Key skills and experiences include:
* Experience in the mining, oil & gas, or resources industry.
* Strong knowledge of Microwave backhaul systems and Point-to-Point microwave radio design (6 to 23GHz).
* Familiarity with telecommunications planning tools.
* Understanding of licensing requirements for Point-to-Point Microwave radio.
