As a Network Practice Manager at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA), you will be responsible for leading the Network Practice area. You will develop and deliver work practices and design standards to improve the quality and consistency of support for all infrastructure and operations related issues. Your key objectives will include:
- Develop, lead, guide, manage and organise a project delivery team within the IT Networks section to achieve organisational outcomes, including annual reviews, performance processes and leave management.- Contribute to the development, improvement and implementation of policies, systems and processes, ensuring the integrity and suitability of information, disciplined documentation, alignment with industry standards and high quality of deliverables across projects.- Manage internal stakeholder relationships ensuring that expectations are continually aligned and to resolve blockers and uplift processes.- Manage external relationships, taking responsibility for contracts and procurement and the vendor management process.- Identify and respond to issues, risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate processes and resources are in place to deliver technology solutions that are consistent with agreed service levels.- Develop and executive effective resourcing and recruitment strategies to ensure the practice has the right mix of skills and expertise to meet the project needs.
Skills required:
- Experience in people leadership and management, including leading, development and motivating teams, and coaching managers.- Experience leading, developing and engaging the Network practice area with a focus on capability, quality, and assurance uplift.-
- Deep understanding of Financial/Government (or similar organisation) and area-specific policies and processes and demonstrated ability to monitor and guide on compliance.- Strong understanding and experience of portfolio and project delivery disciplines spanning waterfall and agile techniques, and related methodologies and tools.- Experience in project delivery and management skills including resource estimation, planning, tracking, reviewing, reporting, issue resolution and senior stakeholder management.- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and experience in representing the department across the Bank or similar organisation
