About the Role
To support our continued growth, we're seeking an experienced, client-focused Business Services/Tax Manager to add value and expertise to our team. Key responsibilities
* Managing a diverse portfolio of clients with support from our talented team
* Providing consulting and advisory services to existing clients
* Growing and developing the client portfolio
* Building positive, productive relationships with clients and stakeholders
* Communicating professionally and building trust with clients
Technical & Compliance
* Reviewing tax returns and financial reports prepared by team members
* Taxation consulting and compliance services
* Preparing income tax returns and financial statements for Trusts, SMSFs, Companies and Individuals
* Preparing monthly BAS and IAS
* Business formation, structures, and strategic taxation advice
* Advising on business purchases and sales, mergers & acquisitions, and capital financing
* Examining and advising on clients' operating costs, income and expenditure
* Monthly and quarterly reporting as required
* Providing constructive feedback and mentoring to team members
* Identifying areas for improvement and supporting staff development
* Contributing to our collaborative team environment
About You Essential qualifications and experience
* Degree qualification in accounting, finance or equivalent business discipline
* Completed CPA or CA program
* Minimum 5 years relevant experience in public practice (preferred)
* Strong understanding of the Australian Tax System and statutory financial obligations
* Experience with the ATO Tax Agent Portal
* Proficiency with accounting software (Xero and BGL360 preferred)
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (intermediate‐to‐advanced level)
