We are looking for a Graduate Consultant to join our high‐performing Strategic & Advisory team in our Melbourne office. The role is permanent, full‐time, and highly collaborative, providing a significant opportunity to support and manage client projects in the field of geospatial technology.

Responsibilities

* Extracting information from client and industry workshops and interviews and collaborating with project teams to identify geospatial requirements and develop appropriate strategies.
* Assisting the design and implementation of geospatial models and workflows to automate data processing and analysis tasks.
* Preparing and delivering clear and concise reports, presentations and documentation based on quantitative and qualitative evidence.
* Undertaking domestic and international travel for business or project‐related work where applicable.
* Representing Woolpert and the spatial information profession at conferences, seminars, trade shows, research forums and maintaining professional networks.

Qualifications

* An undergraduate degree in a Spatial Information or Spatial Science discipline such as GIS, Surveying, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Applied Science or Geography.
* A graduate qualification in a spatial‐information discipline.
* Exposure working in the spatial information sector with a strategic advisory/consulting focus and a good understanding of spatial analysis.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex geospatial concepts to non‐technical stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, ability to think spatially and critically.
* Good knowledge of geospatial concepts, theories and techniques; proficiency in GIS software (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS) and geospatial databases.
* Familiarity with geospatial data formats such as shapefiles, GeoTIFF and KML.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, Environmental Sciences or a related field.
