Our team is growing and we are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Brisbane office.
About the role
* Be a key contributor to the delivery of multi‐disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
* Deliver technical solutions in accordance with project scope, timeframes and best practice standards.
* Prepare technical reports related to design issues.
* Develop a thorough understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.
* Develop the mechanical work plan for inclusion into the project specific execution plan.
* Manage and review Engineering Work Packages (EWP) associated with all deliverables and time‐based functions to ensure that budgets and schedules are being met, and take corrective action if necessary.
* Review and approve mechanical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.).
* Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures.
* Ensure that company‐approved design tools, software and relevant codes and standards are used on the project.
About you
* Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering & RPEQ accreditation.
* Experience in the detailed design of mineral processing plants.
* Experience with copper, gold, nickel or base metals is highly advantageous.
* 10+ years in an EPCM environment.
* Extremely well‐developed written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated leadership and client liaison skills.
* Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work.
* Excellent understanding and belief in safety principles, standards and legislation.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
