Our client is a rural and remote public hospital in the Northern Territory.
There are a range of hospital services, clinics, allied health services, home and community care services, visiting specialist services and community health services offered at the hospital to ensure the best care can be provided to the local community.
A little about the role
We are seeking an experienced ASAR sonographer for a sole operator locum role from 1 December to 12 December ****.
As the sole operator on site, you'll play a critical role in supporting this remote Northern Territory community by providing essential ultrasound services.
The role includes day shifts from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm plus on call.
The case mix is 50% general and 50% obstetrics.
Admin support is available on site; however, there are no onsite Radiologists.
Skills and experience
ASAR accreditation with 5+ years' hospital experience preferred
Previous experience in remote or hospital settings, with the ability to adapt quickly and manage a fast-paced workload independently
Comfortably work as the sole sonographer
Comprehensive scanning ability across General & obstetrics
Proficiency with Toshiba Aplio 500 machines is advantageous, allowing for a seamless transition into the department
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with patients, admin, and clinical teams in a culturally diverse community
Self-sufficient and organised, able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision or administrative support
Ability to meet client credentialing requirements; our team can guide you through this process
