Senior Safety and Environmental Specialist Role
The Senior Safety and Environmental Specialist will champion quality, health, safety, and environmental standards across various civil and commercial construction projects.
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and task observations to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
* Develop, review, and support safe work method statements (SWMS) and other project documentation to promote a culture of safety.
* Provide expertise to project teams using the HammerTech safety system to enhance incident reporting and investigation processes.
* Manage internal audits and assist with third-party accreditation audits to maintain certification and industry recognition.
* Lead toolbox talks and facilitate safety-related discussions to engage stakeholders and promote knowledge sharing.
* Drive safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities to minimize accidents and injuries.
* Deliver safety training and support competency development to build employee capacity and expertise.
* Conduct incident investigations (ICAM/Taproot) and oversee corrective actions to implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
* Complete risk assessments and promote proactive safety management to prevent harm to people and the environment.
