The Air Force is hiring Engineers in a variety of roles to lead highly skilled teams to ensure that its equipment, infrastructure, and networks are operating effectively and capable of supporting crucial missions.
These Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) roles give you the unique opportunity to study a fully funded world-class degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), earn a salary as you study, and walk straight into a guaranteed job following graduation.

Airfield Engineer:
As an Airfield Engineer in the Air Force, you'll develop and maintain infrastructure, survey airfields and establish temporary runways in remote locations.
Electronics Engineer – Aviation:
As an Electronics Engineer – Aviation in the Air Force, you'll play a crucial role in sustaining a range of sophisticated avionics systems that contribute to the airworthiness of military aircraft.
Electronics Engineer – Cyber Systems:
As an Electronics Engineer – Cyber Systems in the Air Force, you'll be responsible for ensuring that Air Force's technology, networks and cyberspace systems are operating effectively.
As an Air Force Officer, you'll also be trained to become an inspirational leader and mentor, equipped with highly sought-after management skills.

Salary
Whilst studying at ADFA, your salary will start from $52,773. Upon graduation and completion of initial military and employment training, you'll enjoy a salary package starting from $108,786 per annum.
Location
Following training, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia, such as RAAF Base Amberley or Williamtown.
Eligibility
For these roles, you must be at least 17 at the time of entry, an Australian citizen, and have passed Year 12 with a qualifying entrance rank for the relevant Engineering degrees listed in the full position descriptions below.
