Sales & Farm Services Representative
Farmwest is seeking a motivated and passionate Sales & Farm Services Representative to join our growing team. This role is a hands‐on position combining on‐farm support, customer relationship management, and sales across genetics, animal health, nutrition, and dairy herd services.
The successful applicant will work closely with dairy and livestock producers to provide practical advice, support herd performance, and deliver industry‐leading products and services to clients throughout the region.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with farmers, building strong long‐term relationships, and being involved in the day‐to‐day success of progressive farming businesses.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients
* Promote and sell Farmwest products and services across:
o Genetics and artificial breeding programs
o Animal health products
o Nutrition and herd performance solutions
o Reproduction and herd management services
* Conduct regular on‐farm visits and provide practical support to clients
* Assist clients with herd improvement and breeding program discussions
* Work collaboratively with the wider Farmwest sales and service teams
* Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes and business growth
* Maintain accurate records and reporting where required
* Represent Farmwest professionally within the agricultural community
Desired Skills & Experience Essential
* Strong communication and relationship‐building skills
* Passion for the agricultural and dairy industries
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Current driver's licence
* Willingness to travel and work on farm
Preferred but Not Essential
* Experience in artificial insemination (AI)
* Pregnancy testing experience
* Background in dairy, beef, or livestock production
* Sales experience within the agricultural industry
* Knowledge of genetics, animal health, or nutrition programs
Training and support can be provided for the right applicant with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
