Role Overview

Role type: Casual (up to 140 hours) • Faculty: Faculty of Business and Economics • Area: Diversity and Inclusion • Salary: Research Assistant 3 – $56.70 per hour plus superannuation

Responsibilities
* Support the Associate Dean, Diversity and Inclusion by conducting targeted literature and policy reviews on diversity and inclusion in higher education and related contexts.
* Synthesise research, policy, and institutional information into concise proposals, concept notes, and implementation frameworks for D&I initiatives.
* Develop evidence‐based briefing papers, information sheets, and communication materials explaining key social equity dates and initiatives.
* Contribute to an ethnic diversity census proposal, including benchmarking, survey design considerations, and privacy and ethics requirements.
* Draft and refine governance, engagement documents, and inclusive teaching guidance to align with University standards and accessibility.
Qualifications
* Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification, PhD enrolment, or equivalent experience in social or organisational disciplines.
* Demonstrate advanced experience conducting literature reviews and synthesising complex information into clear, accessible outputs.
* Bring skills in survey or question design, data preparation, and basic qualitative or quantitative analysis.
* Produce high‐quality written materials for varied audiences, using plain English and adapting tone to context.
* Work confidently with confidential or sensitive information, demonstrating discretion and strong ethical judgement.
* Collaborate effectively with academic and professional staff, managing priorities and deadlines in a flexible environment.
