Job Title: Healthcare Professional for Blood Donation Centre
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a healthcare professional at our blood donation centre.
* Key Responsibilities:
Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate
1. Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process
2. Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
3. Set up machines and collections equipment
4. Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood & plasma
5. Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance
6. Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation
Requirements:
* A Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) qualification with current AHPRA registration
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster, including weekends and afternoon shifts
* Possession of a valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
