The Opportunity
Join UniSC's Academic Support Unit (ASU) and play an important role in supporting high‐quality Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences across the University. The WIL Team provides specialist support for student placements across undergraduate, postgraduate, and higher degree by research programs, ensuring students are well‐prepared for safe, compliant, and meaningful workplace learning opportunities.
In this role, you will provide high‐quality administrative and operational support to the delivery of WIL placements, working closely with students, academic staff, professional teams, and external host organisations. You will contribute to the smooth coordination of placements, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, support compliance with university policy and legislative requirements, and help drive continuous improvement across WIL processes and systems.
You will
* provide high‐quality administrative and system support for WIL placements, including managing pre‐placement requirements, maintaining records, and ensuring data integrity across the Placement Management System;
* support students, academic staff, and external host organisations to coordinate safe, compliant, and effective placement experiences; and
* contribute to continuous improvement across WIL processes, reporting, and stakeholder engagement to enhance service delivery and student outcomes.
About you
You are a proactive, detail‐oriented professional with strong administrative capability and a commitment to delivering excellent service outcomes. You can manage competing priorities, work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders, and confidently navigate systems, processes, and policy frameworks.
Qualifications
* a degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and demonstrated industry experience;
* strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment;
* experience providing high‐quality client‐focused support, including working with systems, data management, reporting, and maintaining accurate records;
* well‐developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and external host organisations;
* demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, solve problems, and escalat[e] issues appropriately;
* experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, process development, or policy‐driven work practices, with knowledge of WIL or higher education environments highly regarded.
