Benara Nurseries is one of Australia's largest wholesale production nurseries, located on a 147-hectare site in Western Australia. Established in 1963, we are a family-owned and managed company, now with four generations actively involved in the nursery. Combined, the owners have over 300 years of experience in producing plants for the horticultural industry.
We supply premium-quality plants to landscapers, retailers, developers and local government. Our success is built on strong values, dedicated people and our commitment to excellence in plant production.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The position of Sales and Marketing Consultant is permanent full-time, supporting both our Landscape and Retail customers.
You will assist customers from enquiry through to order completion, providing accurate information, coordinating orders and ensuring a high standard of service throughout the process.
The work can be busy at times, particularly during peak planting and retail seasons, so the ability to stay organised, follow processes and communicate clearly is essential.
This position will also support our Marketing team with Administration and Social Media Content.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist customers with enquiries, quotations and orders.
* Provide accurate information on plant availability, sizes and lead times.
* Maintain customer records and update internal systems.
* Work closely with internal teams to support order coordination and deliveries.
* Support general sales and customer service activities.
* Provide support to the Marketing team, including:
o Scheduling and publishing social media content
o Updating website content
o Maintaining and updating the CRM database
o General administration using Canva, Mailchimp and the Shopify backend
o Assisting with photography and video content creation
* Build positive, professional relationships with customers.
ABOUT YOU
You do not need to know everything about plants on day one – training will be provided. What is important is that you are reliable, organised and comfortable working with customers in a busy environment.
You will be well suited to this role if you:
* Enjoy working with customers and being part of a team.
* Can manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy.
* Have good computer skills and attention to detail.
* Communicate clearly and professionally.
* Are willing to learn about plants, seasonal availability and production cycles.
* Have experience in horticulture, landscaping, retail, construction or a related industry (advantageous but not essential).
* Have previous knowledge or an interest in marketing (use of Canva, Mailchimp and Shopify) (advantageous).
