The Territory Manager will lead sales and market share growth for the Newcastle to Coffs Harbour region of Interventional Coronary Therapies within Medtronic’s Coronary and Renal Denervation (CRDN) portfolio. The role reports to the National Sales & Marketing Manager and is responsible for territory coverage, account management, inventory control, and clinical support.
Responsibilities
* Achieve sales revenue and market share targets for the specified territory by promoting the range of RDN products to key specialists and technical staff.
* Understand the clinical and service needs of customers and provide the highest level of clinical service and technical support while pursuing efficiencies.
* Provide best‑in‑class clinical case support in hybrid theatres and cardiac cath labs to ensure proper use of Drug Eluting Stent and procedural steps of the Symplicity Spyral Renal Denervation System.
* Maintain effective territory management of inventory, case‑support calendar, administration, and expenses.
* Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) for the territory and contribute to broader state QBRs.
* Build awareness and access key influencers, hospital stakeholders, and relationships to execute account strategies.
* Proactively manage clinical support and educational requirements.
* Assist in presentations to healthcare professionals on educational and training topics.
* Communicate commercial and clinical opportunities and intelligence to divisional staff.
* Consistently set and meet quarterly performance goals.
* Collaborate with product managers and inventory counters to monitor field inventory, update stock levels, and retrieve expiring product.
* Perform all activities in compliance with local Quality System, environmental, health and safety regulations, and any applicable governmental regulations.
* Travel up to 40% for after‑hours case support and other duties as required.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years sales experience in devices, pharma, or healthcare industry.
* Cardiac Catheter Lab experience preferred.
* Comprehensive clinical and technical knowledge, including clinical papers.
* Experience with account planning, territory management, and forecasting.
* Consultative selling skills and strong negotiation abilities.
* Strong ability to build and nurture clinical and business relationships with customers.
* Understanding of hospital laboratory, theatre, and department processes (purchasing, consignment, clinics, patient & implant scheduling).
* Computer literacy, including proficiency in the MS Office suite.
* Physical capacity to perform job duties as described.
