Department: Process Engineering
Location: Glenden, QLD, AU
The Process Engineer will join the team at the Centurion underground mine located 160 kilometres west of Mackay. Reporting to the CHPP Manager, the role ensures efficient operation of all plant and optimum product recovery to meet targets.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support and advice to ensure a successful ramp up and ongoing operations of the processing plant.
* Work closely with the operational team to provide ongoing coaching to drive plant efficiency.
* Oversee the onsite lab, ensuring technicians and personnel support ramp up activities and maintain safe practices.
* Contribute to the identification, development and delivery of process improvements and opportunities within the CHPP.
* Monitor and report on the process plant performance.
* Provide support for accurate budgets.
* Evaluate operational risks and opportunities and ensure implementation of mitigation strategies.

Qualifications
* Engineering degree in Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical or related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years experience in mineral comminution, beneficiation and solid/liquid separation technologies.
* CHPP operational and technical experience.
* Demonstrated competence in production and maintenance management.
* Experience with control systems engineering.
* Uncompromising commitment to safety, with sound understanding of risk and hazard identification.
