Our Brooklyn yard is seeking a practical, hands-on Plant Operator, to contribute to general yard activities, maintain smooth and safe daily operations, and assist customers with basic enquiries and service needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Operate plant equipment including material handlers, forklifts, loaders, and excavators (where licensed)
* Load and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers
* Grade, sort, and manage metals to meet operational and quality standards
* Maintain site compliance with environmental guidelines and OH&S policies
* Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
What we're looking for:
* Loader, skid steer, or other plant tickets – advantageous
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* Hands-on approach and willingness to be flexible
* Strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent attendance
* Positive, can-do attitude and openness to training to expand skills
