Overview
Forklift Operator role at Hillebrand Gori - A company of DHL. Based in Outer Harbour, SA. As a Forklift Operator, in this full-time role based in Outer Harbour, SA, you will play a crucial part in the freight and cargo forwarding operations of the company, ensuring the seamless Operation and Administration at the warehouse.
Responsibilities
* Maintenance of Warehouse to ensure internal & surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
* Operating a Forklift and adhering to forklift safety requirements.
* Ensure storage of goods & packaging materials are handled in accordance with Industry standards.
* CHEP Pallet or other owned or hired pallets, control and general stock control processes are adhered to.
* Ensure that customer service and quality targets are met or exceeded.
* Identify areas of cost savings, safety risk and process improvements within the warehouse operation.
* Check all loading plans / photos are completed along with receipt and dispatch paperwork is also issued.
* Ensure all received goods are correctly stored in their designated areas and pallets put away safely.
* Report any major discrepancies to Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.
* Assist with new developments and business.
* Assist team leader with month end process and weekly closing of financial files.
Qualifications and Skills
* Working knowledge of all warehouse activities and safety rules within Outer Harbour Warehouse operations.
* Driver Licence
* Forklift Licence
* White Card
