About the role:
As an
Insurance and Payments Officer
, you'll be a steady and trusted guide for members navigating significant life events. You will be processing the payments associated with approved Claims and underwriting applications and, you'll ensure every detail is handled with care and precision.
In this role, you'll take on tasks such as:
Managing insurance underwriting applications
Processing Death, Total and Permanent Disablement, Terminal Illness & Income Protection payments
Communicating sensitive decisions with empathy and professionalism
Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
Investigating and resolving complex insurance issues
Supporting continuous improvement and compliance initiatives
About you:

We're looking for someone who:
Communicates clearly and compassionately, even in sensitive situations
Interprets legislation and regulatory requirements with confidence
Demonstrates strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Calculates complex benefit payments and taxation accurately
Is proficient in spreadsheets and database applications
Understands insurance claims, underwriting, and superannuation administration

ASO3 - $67,589 min $72,033 max per annum + 12% Super
