Clinical Nurse Educator, Emergency Department Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse educator to lead the development and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff in the Emergency setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical support and mentoring new staff and learners, planning and delivering in-service training, designing and evaluating learning programs, and contributing to policy and procedure development.
In this dynamic role, you will work closely with the Emergency and Critical Care Divisional Education team to deliver high-quality education and training programs that meet the needs of our staff and patients.
* Develop and implement educational programs to improve clinical competency and professional development among nursing staff
* Provide expert bedside clinical support and mentoring to new staff and learners
* Plan and deliver in-service training sessions to meet continuing professional development needs
* Design and evaluate learning programs to ensure relevance and effectiveness
Requirements
* Current registration with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse
* Tertiary postgraduate qualification in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing
* Tertiary postgraduate qualification in Nursing Education (or willingness to work towards)
* Vocational Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or willingness to work towards)
* Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and skill in Emergency Nursing
* Demonstrated commitment to clinical education and clinical support
* Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
* Ability to work within a team structure in a multidisciplinary environment
