This business is in growth mode, expanding into major retail partnerships including Target US, evolving its product range and building a brand that shows up with consistency and real cultural relevance across every touchpoint.
As Global Head of Brand & Marketing, you will own the global marketing calendar, campaigns and execution – driving how SLICKHAIR connects with customers across retail, digital, social and eCommerce in every market.
You will work closely with the Founder to translate the brand vision into commercially effective campaigns, from concept through delivery. You will partner with the NPD team from the very start of the product development lifecycle, ensuring each new product is positioned strategically from day one. You will lead and develop a team, building systems, briefing processes and creative standards that allow a lean team to punch well above its weight.
This is a hands‐on, execution‐led role as much as it is a strategic one. The right person can think at the brand level and then roll up their sleeves to make it happen.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* TIES Brand Strategy & Directi ons: Drive global brand consistency and evolution by translating the business's vision into premium, differentiated strategies across AU, the Middle East, Europe and the US, partnering with the creative and content team to connect strategy to execution across every channel and consumer mo.
* Campaigns & Marketing Execution: Own the full marketing calendar from concept to review, leading flagship moments like Coachella, Holiday and the Target US launch while managing influencer strategy and holding external agencies accountable to clear strategic outcomes.
* Global Market Nurturing: Champion SLICKHAIR's international growth by developing market‐specific strategies, leading the 2026 Target US go‐to‐market plan and ensuring brand consistency across global retail partners, including Sephora, Priceline, Coles, Woolworths and Target.
* US Performance & Growth: Track and optimise brand performance across sales, ROI, acquisition and engagement metrics, working closely to improve conversion and lifetime value and reporting regularly against business objectives.
* Leadership: Lead, mentor and build a high‐performing internal team by setting a strong creative standard, creating efficient workflows and systems, and making smart decisions about when to bring work in‐house versus outsourcing.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Success in this role looks like a SLICKHAIR brand that is clearly differentiated in every market, with consistent, premium execution across every channel and touchpoint – from a Target shelf in the US to an Instagram feed in the Middle East. Campaigns are directly tied to revenue outcomes, moving product and reportable against real numbers.
The 2026 Target US launch lands with genuine brand storytelling, strong retail execution and commercial momentum that carries well beyond the launch window.
Success also means existing markets in Australia, the Middle East and Europe receive the strategic attention they deserve, with market‐specific plans that strengthen distributor relationships and grow brand presence on the ground. Products arriving in the market are set up for success because the marketing strategy was embedded from the very start of development.
And it's a brand and creative team that is high‐performing, well‐structured and consistently punching above its weight.
IDEAL CANDIDATES
SLICKHAIR is looking for someone who has done this before in beauty. The ideal candidate has come from an FMCG or independent beauty brand that operates across both mass and premium retail, knows what it takes to show up in Target and Sephora simultaneously, manages distributor markets, and builds a brand that performs globally without losing its identity.
QUALIFICATIONS
* 5–10+ years in brand or marketing roles within beauty or consumer goods, with a demonstrated global remit.
* Proven experience leading a brand through international retail expansion, ideally including a US, Middle East or European market entry.
* Deep familiarity with mass and premium retail environments: Target, Sephora, Coles, Woolworths or equivalent, including retailer‐specific campaign and asset requirements.
* A genuine track record of building always‐on marketing strategies.
* Strong balance of creative vision and commercial thinking: able to brief a beautiful campaign and report on its revenue impact.
* Experience partnering with NPD from early in the product development process.
* Proven ability to oversee and manage external digital agencies, holding them accountable for briefs and results.
* Highly organised and execution‐oriented, comfortable operating without a large team.
