We are on the hunt for a detail‐oriented and experienced Welding supervisor or Welding Inspector (with NDT qualifications—desirable) to oversee weld quality and compliance.
You will be accountable for performing visual welding inspections and welding supervision (and NDT where applicable) to demonstrate compliance with codes and client requirements both at the time of construction/fabrication and while an industrial plant is in‐service.
You will also provide advice to our stakeholders on improving welding outcomes, including welding consumable selection, weld‐process selection and weld discontinuity/defect avoidance.
Key Responsibilities
* Welding inspection of new and in‐service welds
* Provide technical guidance and consultation for welding operations
* Monitor the performance of welding procedures, welder qualifications, and welding operations at stakeholder premises
* Conduct independent third‐party surveillance activities on products and fabrication work at stakeholder premises and prepare reports in accordance with stakeholder expectations
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Cert 10 Welding supervisor (AS1796) or CSWIP 3.1 / CSWIP 3.2 (welding inspection certifications)
* White card
* Confined space
* Strong communication and stakeholder skills
* Strong computer and system skills and knowledge
