Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Mining Consultant to deliver high-quality engineering and technical consulting services to our clients.
The successful candidate will lead mine design and scheduling projects, including short- and long-term planning, dumping and haulage analysis, and model development using industry-standard software.
They will also contribute to mine feasibility and improvement studies by developing mine designs, cost estimates, production schedules, and financial models, including NPV evaluations.
Additionally, they will conduct mine optimisation and improvement work, including equipment selection, method comparison, reserve estimation, and rehabilitation studies.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership to the consulting team, including mentoring and upskilling junior staff.
* Contribute to recruitment and talent development within the business unit.
* Review consulting proposals for technical accuracy and risk coordinate project delivery and support budgeting, forecasting, and resource utilisation.
* Lead client engagement, relationship management, and identification of new project opportunities.
* Visit client sites as required, both domestically and internationally, to provide on-site consulting support.
