Lady Davidson Private Hospital is a leading private rehabilitation facility in North Turramurra, Sydney. The hospital has 115 inpatient beds and a busy day‑patient programme based on an interdisciplinary team approach. The main casemix groups are orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, reconditioning, palliative care and general medicine.
Role Overview
Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) are integral to the Allied Health team and provide clinical and administrative assistance and support to Allied Health Professionals to ensure the delivery of high‑quality rehabilitation services. AHAs work under the direction and supervision of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and others to aid clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and complete activities.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and e‑mail applications.
- Current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to drive for work purposes.
Desirable Criteria
- Occupational therapy or physiotherapy qualification without APHRA registration, or
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of physiotherapy and occupational therapy roles.
- Experience working with or providing care to people in a health‑care setting.
- A basic understanding of exercise classes.
