The role
This is a fantastic opportunity which will enable you to become part of a close knit and high performing Billing team, reporting to the Patient Billing Manager. The role forms part of a large, close knit Patients billing team. Salary packaging is also available!
The role will be comprised of;
Duties:
Review and correction of patient claims
Liaising with Private health funds and 3rd parties regarding unpaid, rejected and short paid claims
Review of claims on hold and follow up with respective areas such as Patient Services/theatre/doctors rooms for missing data or documentation
Providing clinical documents internally to support claim resubmission
Identify and address incorrect billings
Collections follow up for patient accounts
Identifying and addressing private health fund + patient refunds
Escalating claims to write off
Escalating claims for clinical review
Perform Aged Trial Balance analysis and other ad hoc duties as required by Management
Skills & experience
Self-motivated, you can work well both autonomously and in teams. Naturally proactive and adaptable, you will have an ability to build customer relationships and problem solve. You will also be very resilient and able to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
