Responsibilities
* Preparing and cooking a variety of meals in accordance with menu requirements and portion standards
* Ensuring food quality, taste, consistency and presentation are maintained at a high standard
* Assisting with daily kitchen preparation, cooking and service operations
* Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards within the kitchen
* Monitoring stock rotation and assisting with inventory control and ordering
* Minimising food wastage and ensuring efficient kitchen operations
* Working effectively during busy service periods, including evenings and weekends
* Supporting teamwork and maintaining smooth communication within the kitchen team
Requirements
Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality preferred
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Chef in a restaurant, café or hospitality environment
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good communication, organisation and teamwork skills
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
Valid Australian working rights
