We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our transport team, providing a safe, reliable, and welcoming bus journey experience for our school community. This casual position is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful contribution while balancing other life commitments.
Reporting to the Bus Coordinator and Property Manager, the Bus Driver will drive the College buses in a safe and responsible manner for am/pm bus runs, sport, excursions, tours etc.
Location: Rothwell or Caboolture Campus
Hours: 40 hours per fortnight (4 hours per day – 2 hours each morning and afternoon)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Note: There is availability for additional hours (e.g. sport, excursions, camps).
Key Responsibilities
* Safely transport students to and from school, as well as to sports and camp activities
* Build positive relationships with students, fostering a friendly and respectful atmosphere
* Maintain punctuality and adhere to scheduled pickup and drop-off times
* Follow all road and traffic regulations to ensure safe driving practices
* Supervise the safe boarding and exiting of students at assigned stops
About you
* A genuine person with a passion for driving and working with young people
* Hold a valid Queensland MR (or higher) driver's license and be eligible for, or willing to obtain, a Queensland Driver Authorization (DA)
* Hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Queensland Working with Children Blue Card
* Demonstrate a strong driving history with a commitment to safety
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
* Have good working knowledge of the Moreton Bay region, including major road networks and traffic patterns (highly desirable)
* This position would suit someone with commitment to the ethos, Christian values and teachings of the College
