The Royal Hospital for Women is a multi-faceted tertiary referral and teaching hospital, internationally recognised as one of the world's leading centres for the care of mothers, babies, and women with benign gynaecological and gynae-oncology conditions. The role

The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is 'exceptional care, healthier lives'. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it. This position is the first point of contact for the medical staff, hospital staff and all visitors to the Medical Workforce Unit and is responsible for efficient and professional management of queries and telephone requests. The holder is responsible for providing administrative support to the Medical Workforce Co‐ordinator.

Selection Criteria

* Demonstrated skills and ability in computer‐based software packages, including Microsoft Office (Access, Word and Excel), email and intranet.
* Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication (telephone, verbal and written) skills.
* Ability to work as a reliable, efficient and effective team member.
* Demonstrated time‐management skills, ability to organise and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines/timeframes.
* Clear understanding and practice of confidentiality.
* Ability to identify a situation which should be notified to management staff immediately.
* Knowledge of general administrative technology including printers, photocopiers and fax machines.
