Key Responsibilities
As a Fitter Mechanic, you will work across a diverse range of mechanical systems and equipment, keeping essential hospital services operating safely and efficiently.
* Change wheelchair tyres and service mechanical equipment.
* Maintain cooling towers and perform fabrication and repair tasks.
* Conduct general repair and maintenance work on motor vehicles and other mechanical systems.
* Provide practical problem‐solving and support to a skilled and collaborative team.
* Occasional travel to smaller facilities within the former Peel Sector may provide additional variety.

Required Qualifications and Experience
* TAFE Trades Certificate in Fitting and Machining or Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering.
* Tradesmen's certificate of proficiency.
* Experience or interest in fitting, fabrication, welding, and motor mechanics.
Eligibility
* Australian Citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen or holder of a visa allowing employment in Australia.
* Visa sponsorship not available for this position.
