Church Administrator & Business Manager
Northreach Baptist Church is seeking a highly capable and mission‐driven Church Administrator & Business Manager to provide senior leadership across our church operations and Northreach Community Care (NCC), our growing, ACNC-registered not‐for‐profit community services arm.
This is a unique opportunity for a gifted leader who combines strong business acumen, organisational leadership, and a heart for ministry, to help shape both the internal effectiveness of the church and the external impact of our community care services.
About Townsville & the Northreach Region
Townsville is a vibrant and growing regional city in North Queensland, serving as a key economic, educational, and community hub for the wider region. With a population of over 190,000 people, the city reflects a diverse demographic including families, defence personnel, young professionals, First Nations communities, and those experiencing social and economic disadvantage.
Northreach Baptist Church is one of the largest regional churches in the area, with a strong and growing influence across both church life and community engagement. Positioned in Kirwan, Northreach is strategically located to serve a broad cross‐section of the community, including areas of significant need.
The region faces ongoing challenges in housing and cost‐of‐living pressures. Current data indicates a high demand for social housing, with many individuals and families experiencing housing stress. In response, Northreach Community Care plays a vital role through the provision of 58 social housing dwellings, offering stable and supported accommodation to those in need.
In addition, Northreach leads a significant food relief initiative, providing practical support to individuals and families facing food insecurity. This ministry continues to grow in both scale and impact, reflecting the church's commitment to meeting real needs in tangible ways.
This role sits at the intersection of church ministry and community transformation, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to both spiritual and social outcomes across the Townsville region.
