Salary Range: $89,525 - $102,735 per annum + Super (pending experience)

Townsville Catholic Education is seeking an Accountant to join our Financial Services team based in Townsville. Reporting to the Team Leader, Group Accounting, you\'ll play an important role in supporting the financial operations of one of North Queensland\'s largest education providers, helping ensure the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of financial processes across our office and school network.
In this varied role, you\'ll contribute to a range of accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, asset accounting and financial reporting, while also supporting system administration, capital procurement activities and compliance obligations. Working closely with finance colleagues and stakeholders across our schools, you\'ll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial processes, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support practical financial solutions that enable informed decision-making across the organisation.
Responsibilities
General ledger maintenance, reconciliations, asset accounting and financial reporting; support system administration and capital procurement activities; ensure compliance obligations are met; collaborate with finance colleagues and school stakeholders; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide practical financial solutions for informed decision-making across the organisation.
Qualifications / Skills
* Experience in a broad finance or accounting role.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work with financial systems, data and reporting; identify issues, investigate solutions and build positive working relationships.
* Experience with TechnologyOne or a similar financial management system is highly regarded.
