About the Role
Torrens Valley International Residence (TVIR) is a 274‐room accommodation building for students, clients employed full time, NALHN employees, patients and patient relatives. The Cleaner position is an integral part of the TVIR team, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Your work directly contributes to the comfort and wellbeing of residents and visitors.
This part‐time ongoing position runs on morning shifts only across a seven‐day roster – including every weekend and public holiday – with two weekdays off each week. That structure gives you consistent income, predictable hours, and genuine time back during the week when it counts. Key Responsibilities
* Cleaning of common residential areas such as lounge rooms, study rooms, kitchens, laundries, foyers and corridors
* Following established cleaning schedules and responding to urgent cleaning requests as directed by the Manager
* Using cleaning equipment, chemicals, and personal protective equipment safely and in accordance with WHS procedures
* Supporting a hygienic environment that directly contributes to residents' outcomes and staff wellbeing
What You'll Bring
* Experience in a cleaning role, ideally in a hotel, motel, accommodation, or similar environment
* Understanding of infection‐control principles and safe chemical‐handling practices
* Reliability and attention to detail – consistent standards in a residential accommodation facility
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team across a seven‐day roster, including weekends and public holidays
* A current National Police Clearance suitable for working in an SA Health facility
* Physical capacity to perform the duties of the role, including standing, bending, and operating cleaning equipment throughout a shift
