This is a hands‐on, technically deep role sitting within a Security & Compliance function.Our client is an enterprise software platform operating in complex, regulated environments — with ISO 27001 conformant security architecture in place and a SOC 2 certification actively in progress. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit at a strategic distance from the work. You'll be the person who rolls up their sleeves and gets it done – translating the CISO's direction into precise operational outcomes across threat monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance delivery.What You'll Do You will own the day‐to‐day management of security monitoring infrastructure, including SIEM tooling, alerting thresholds, and log management across the environment. You will execute the vulnerability management program end‐to‐end; from scheduled scans and penetration test coordination through to finding remediation and risk acceptance documentation.When incidents occur, you'll lead the response. That means triage, containment, root cause analysis, and post‐incident review, all conducted in accordance with the organisation's Incident Response Plan and to tight SLAs—critical incidents acknowledged within 15 minutes and contained within 4 hours.You will implement and maintain the security controls required by ISO 27001, SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria, and applicable government and enterprise client requirements, and you'll partner with the Head of Technology to embed those controls throughout the software development lifecycle.A significant part of this engagement will be hands‐on support for the SOC 1 and SOC 2 certification workstreams—including audit preparation, evidence collection, internal control reviews and testing, and direct engagement with external auditors.Beyond the certification work, you will deliver security awareness training across the organisation, maintain completion records for compliance purposes, and produce monthly security metrics reports for the CISO. You'll be expected to navigate complex threat scenarios with structured analysis and sound judgement, escalating to the CISO with clear, considered recommendations.What You'll NeedYou will bring demonstrated experience in a security operations, security engineering, or information security role, with hands‐on proficiency across SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and cloud security tooling.Practical experience supporting ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification processes is essential—the audit‐ready mindset is required.You will hold relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent, and you'll have a completed undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university.You will also bring demonstrated AI literacy—including practical, professional experience using AI tools and a sound understanding of responsible AI use principles.Strong analytical capability and the ability to operate with sound professional judgement under pressure are non‐negotiable in this environment.Even if this role is not quite for you but you are interested in contract work with Sekuro please do apply.Any Questions?
