About the role
We are an accounting, tax and business service firm located in Abbotsford. We are seeking an accountant with a minimum 2 years experience in the industry to join our team.
Responsibilities
* The preparation of financial accounts in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards
* Completing company, trusts, partnership, superannuation and individual tax returns.
* Meeting with clients to discuss their financial needs and resolve their queries.
* Assisting with the setup of business structures.
* Assisting with the preparation of Business Activity Statements, IAS, payroll tax lodgements and returns, SGC statements and workers compensation reconciliations.
* Providing detailed working papers to support the financial reports being prepared.
* Working closely with other staff members
* Assist with the preparation of FBT returns. Ideally you should have an accounting qualification.
* Competency in various accounting systems including Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks and AO.
* Enjoy working with a great group of people who work as a closely knit team.
* Be keen to acquire more knowledge. We spend at least 40 hours per year in professional development sessions.
* Enjoy problem solving and resolving complex taxation issues.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience in the accounting industry and an accounting qualification are preferred.
