Wood is recruiting for a Lead / Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our Minerals & Metals business, focusing on operation readiness within a greenfield mining project.
This is a 6-month contract with possibility for extension, ideal for an engineer looking to progress into a leadership role, supporting a major client based in Brisbane.

Responsibilities
Accountable for the safe and timely preparation and execution of the project work scope in adherence with project HSEQ safety targets, procedures and practices.
Accountable for reviewing the project commissioning strategy and procedures – ensure compliance with project standards, specifications and procedures.
Accountable for ensuring commissioning is carried out in accordance with project procedures, schedules and budget.
Actively participate in all company and project safety initiatives.
Monitor and report commissioning progress on a regular basis.
Qualifications
You will be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia.

Ideally, you will be a qualified engineer with an Engineering degree from a recognized institution.
Appropriate level of commissioning experience in the mining industry sector.
Commissioning experience on Gold Plants desirable.
Minimum 10 years of engineering experience.
Good standard of general computer literacy.
Fully conversant with regard to discipline technical knowledge.
Proven experience of interpreting discipline documentation.
Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan.
