About The Team
We are a highly supportive, team-based environment. As a member of your schools' multidisciplinary Student Wellbeing and Support Team you will work with school psychologists, speech and language pathologists, school social workers and teaching staff. You will stay connected to your regional and statewide school health nurse team via regular online and face-to-face meetings.
About The Role
As a DECYP School Health Nurse you will be part of the innovative School Health Nurse Program. You will work collaboratively to create a physical and social environment that promotes the good health and wellbeing of students and families. The focus of your work will be developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion and education activities.
You will also provide clinical assessment, screening and referrals and support for individual students and groups.
Provide clinical assessment, screening and support to individuals and groups and undertake early detection activities and provide supported referrals for students in the school/college setting.
Participate in the development and implementation of health promotion activities in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications
* A registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration status – Employment.
Desirable Qualifications
* Current driver's licence.
* Relevant post-graduate health qualification or other post graduate Paediatric qualification.
