About the Role
Teys Australia isseeking an experience and qualified boilermaker/welder to join the maintenance department team based at our Lakes Creek -Rockhampton processing site in Queensland. The rolewill be responsible for
Responsibilities
* Perform fabrication, welding, and repairs on plant equipment and structures
* Carry out faultfinding and diagnosis on mechanical and structural failures
* Repair or replace components such as chutes, hoppers, screw conveyors, bins, and pressure equipment
* Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
* Contribute to rootcause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement
* Work closely with fitters, supervisors, and reliability teams
* Perform assigned duties safely and on time
* Abide by all TEYS policies/procedures and Work Health & Safety legislation
* Participate in daily/weekly team meetings and pre-start meetings
* Able to work weekends and public holidays when required
Skills & Experience
* Strong MIG, TIG, and Stick welding skills
* Experience in industrial maintenance environments
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings
* High attention to detail and quality
Skills and experience.
What you must have
* Certificate III Boilermaker - Fabrication (Australian Nationally Accredited trade certificate) and demonstrated capability through past employment/relevant qualifications.
* Have Permanent Residence or Australian Citizenship Status
* Current Driver's Licence
* White Card
* Safety conscious attitude
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to pass a TEYS pre-employment medical, including a urine drug and alcohol test
* Have or willing to obtain a Q-Fever vaccination
* EWP
* Working at heights
* Confined space
* Experience in food industry
