Offer description

About The Role

Band 3 Role – base salary from $83,108 per annum (+ Super). Salary to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on their skills and experience.

Join TasNetworks and play a key role in supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure projects that power Tasmania's future. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Portfolio Administrator who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and enjoys working across multiple projects, stakeholders, and systems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure, coordination, and efficiency to complex project environments.

Working closely with project teams, customers, and internal stakeholders, you will provide high‐level administrative and project coordination support across the full project lifecycle — from design and construction through to project closeout. You will be a trusted team contributor who can confidently manage competing priorities, maintain accurate project information, and ensure key deliverables are completed on time. Your ability to communicate effectively, stay organised, and build strong working relationships will be critical to your success in the role.

In This Role, You Will

* Prepare letters of offer, coordinate financial approvals and issue documentation to customers on behalf of team members.
* Provide high‐level administrative support to deliver projects through design, construction, and project closeout.
* Facilitate communication and information sharing across teams while ensuring project information is accurately documented and maintained.
* Coordinate key project deliverables and initiatives to ensure deadlines and regulatory timeframes are achieved.
* Support project progression from design through to construction activities.
* Create and maintain SAP Projects, Notifications, Work Orders, purchase requisitions, and invoice processing activities.
* Coordinate project invoicing by monitoring payments and updating relevant systems.
* Maintain document control processes to ensure consistency and accuracy across project documentation.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, engaging professionally and respectfully with stakeholders at all levels.
* A proactive mindset and strong customer service focus.
* Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage competing priorities within strict deadlines.
* Experience in preparing, reviewing, and proofing professional documents, contracts, letters, and technical or commercial information.
* Strong organisational and coordination skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Experience using business systems and software including SAP, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify efficient and effective ways of working.
* Resilience and professionalism when managing challenging or confronting situations.

What's on offer

This is a permanent full‐time opportunity, based out of either our Rocherlea or Cambridge depot, offering an attractive remuneration and benefits package.

At TasNetworks we value safety and aim to create a supportive work environment. We offer excellent employee benefits:

* Free onsite car parking
* 20 days of annual leave per year, plus an additional 3 days between Christmas and New Year
* Electricity discount of 16.66%
* 17.5% leave loading (paid annually)
* Career development – our own RTO and personalised career pathways in trade and leadership
* Onsite gyms and annual health and wellbeing rebate
* All the tools and equipment required to be successful

TasNetworks is an Equal Opportunity employer and is committed to responding to every applicant. We encourage applications from all members of the community, including people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and mature aged people.

To be eligible for this position, you are required to have Australian citizenship, permanent residence or a current valid visa that allows you to fulfil the requirements of this role. Successful applicants will undergo necessary pre‐employment checks.
