Head of Department – English & Humanities
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for teaching and learning? We are looking for someone who is relationship‐driven, dynamic, and innovative when it comes to achieving results and delivering outcomes for students.
This is a temporary full‐time position commencing 27 July – 11 December 2026, with a possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
* Lead the department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
* Set high standards for student and staff performance.
* Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
* Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
* Develop partnerships across campuses, promote the school through academic achievement, signature pathways and extra‐curricular activities.
* Collaborate with Heads of Departments across both Pomona and Cooroy Campuses.
