You’ll take ownership of day-to-day HSE performance, provide site-level coaching, conduct audits, and help lead a strong safety culture onsite. We’re seeking someone with 3+ years of HSE experience is required – ideally within construction or marine environments, with prior FIFO experience preferred.About the CompanyYou’ll join the HSE team on a bulk materials handling facility upgrade near Dampier. This is a FIFO contract role operating on a 20:8 roster, with 1 RDO per swing. Days are typically 10 hours, with a shift to 12-hour night shifts in July. This role suits someone confident in driving safety on dynamic, high-risk construction sites.About the RoleYou’ll join the HSE team on a landmark bulk handling and marine infrastructure project in Dampier. Reporting to the site-based HSE Lead, your role will focus on daily risk management, compliance checks, contractor interface, and incident support. This is a hands-on contract role that requires practical site safety leadership.DutiesOversee HSE compliance and support operational safety initiativesConduct toolbox talks, inspections, investigations, and auditsProvide safety coaching to supervisors and subcontractorsMaintain and report on safety KPIs and regulatory requirementsSupport a proactive and engaged safety culture across site teamsSkills & ExperienceMinimum Cert IV or Diploma in WHS3+ years of HSE experience – preferably in construction and/or marine infrastructureStrong working knowledge of ISO 45001 and environmental legislationExperience with permit-to-work systems and safety reporting toolsAbility to influence and guide teams in a site environmentRoster, Flights & Accommodation20:8 FIFO swing with 1 rostered day off per swingStandard day shift (6AM–4PM); night shift starts 6PMPreference for local hires from Karratha or DampierFIFO available from Perth; other airports may be considered if required, but less preferredAll accommodation and meals are provided onsiteCultureJoin a collaborative, no-nonsense crew who value doing things the right way.
