As a trusted major contractor on significant Defence infrastructure projects, Bear Claw continues to lead the industry through innovation, safety, and operational excellence.
As the year comes to an end, we are expanding our team and are now seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to support our growing operations.
This position is approximately 70% fleet management and 30% accounts/administration, working closely with Directors, Project Managers and the broader operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Management – 70%
* Coordinate servicing, repairs, preventative maintenance and inspections for all vehicles, plant and equipment
* Manage breakdowns, urgent repairs and ensure minimal operational downtime
* Maintain asset registers, service logs, utilisation records and compliance paperwork
* Oversee registrations, insurance, fuel cards and internal fleet documentation
* Support mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment to NT project sites
* Liaise with workshops, suppliers, OEM reps and site supervisors
* Assist with improving fleet processes, systems and reporting structures
Accounts & Administration – 30%
* Assist with purchase orders, invoice processing and reconciliation
* Track fleet-related expenses and support monthly reporting
* Maintain digital filing systems and accurate fleet records
* Provide general administrative and data entry support to the finance team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Experience in fleet coordination, plant management or workshop administration (civil or construction highly regarded)
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* The ability to manage competing priorities in a high-paced environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and general computer systems
* Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent English is essential
* The ability to engage confidently with office staff, workshop personnel and site teams
* Xero or financial data entry experience (advantageous but not essential)
